We've updated the structure of the platform to streamline your workflow. We have consolidated Decision Strategies, Data Integrations and Document Templates under the Loan Product configuration. Doing so will align them with the setup of other configurations and enhance your ability to manage these configurations across multiple loan products. Additionally, we have released minor bug fixes and UI improvements.
Release Details
If you have multiple Loan Products, there are required changes on your side. This post provides detailed instructions to ensure these changes do not disrupt your loan workflow.
Lending Setup Changes
Configurations like Decision Strategies, Data Integrations, and Document Templates are now tied to a loan product. The revised structure is the following:
- Decision Strategies and Data Integrations can now be found in Loan Product → Advanced Automation.
- Document Templates can now be found in Loan Product → Basic Setup.
Moving forward, any updates to your Decision Strategies, Data Integrations, and Document Templates will need to be made within the corresponding Loan Product. This new system simplifies the management of multiple Loan Products by allowing the configurations for each product to be handled separately. Particularly if you have numerous Loan Products, this streamlined process enables easier configuration management.
Lending System Changes
We've simplified the navigation in the Lending System by linking several sections - Tasks, Decisions, and Integrations - to Loan Products. Now the content presented in these sections adjusts based on the selected Loan Product, meaning that only applicable Tasks, Decisions and Integrations will appear.
We've organized the existing decisions and integrations according to the following structure:
- If you have one active loan product, all existing decisions and integrations are now located under that active product.
- If you have multiple active loan products, the migration follows this logic:
- Decisions and integrations with an application ID are now associated with the corresponding loan product.
- Decisions and integrations without an application ID have been moved to the "No Loan Product" section.
Additionally, switching between Loan Products will now be easier as you can select a Loan Product from the new switcher in the side navigation bar. If you have multiple Loan Products, you can now focus on just the items that apply to a certain product for easier workflow management.
Migrations and Required Changes
With the new update, Decision Strategies, Data Integrations and Documents Templates are now tied to Loan Products. As a result of this change, the existing configurations have been transferred to either an active Loan Product or the Legacy section.
No Active Loan Products
If you don't have any Loan Products or if all Loan Products have been archived, then an empty Loan Product was created in your organization. All Decision Strategies, Data Integrations and Document Templates, both active and archived, have been moved to this newly created product. No further action is required.
One Active Loan Product
If you have one active Loan Product, then all Decision Strategies, Data Integrations and Document Templates have been moved to that active Loan Product. No further action is required.
Multiple Active Loan Products (Action Required)
If you have multiple active loan products, you can find all your decision strategies and data integrations in the “Legacy” section. All existing document templates were duplicated across all active loan products.
Please follow the steps below to transition your configurations:
Step 1: Duplicate Decision Strategies and Data Integrations
Duplicate Decision Strategies:
- Go to Lending Setup > Loan Products.
- Select the loan product to which you want to duplicate the strategies.
- Navigate to Advanced Automation > Decision Strategies.
- Click Add Strategy and select Duplicate From.
- In the Loan Product to Duplicate From field, select Legacy.
- Choose the strategy you wish to duplicate in the Decision Strategy to Duplicate field.
- Click Duplicate Strategy.
Duplicate Data Integrations:
- Go to Lending Setup > Loan Products.
- Select the loan product to which you want to duplicate the integrations.
- Navigate to Advanced Automation > Data Integrations.
- Click Add Integration and select Duplicate From.
- In the Loan Product to Duplicate From field, select Legacy.
- Choose the integration you wish to duplicate in the Data Integration to Duplicate field.
- Click Duplicate Integration.
Important Note: The duplication process will create new system IDs for these configurations. Ensure all system IDs related to Decision Strategies and Data Integrations are updated in your systems before the “Legacy” section is removed.
Step 2: Update Your Automation Workflows
If you are using decision strategies and data integrations in the automation workflows, update the “Run Decision” and “Run Integration” actions to reference the new strategies and integrations, as they will default to the legacy versions.
Step 3: Test and Promote to Production
Test your updated configurations to ensure they function as expected. Once testing is complete, promote the configurations to production mode.
Note on Timing: The Decision Strategies and Data Integrations will continue to function in the “Legacy” section for the near future, giving you time to make this change. The “Legacy” section is expected to be removed later this year. However, we encourage you to make this change as soon as you are reasonably able to ensure that you don’t experience any issues in the future.
