Overview of Application Borrowers

When an application is created, at least one borrower must be included on the application. At the time of application creation, that borrower's current profile information is copied onto the application as a record of what the borrower information was at the time of application. This means that the borrower profile can be updated over time without altering the application record. You can think of the borrower profile as the most up to date information regarding a borrower, and the borrower information on the application as the information from when the borrower applied.

After an application is created, you can make certain edits to the borrower and co-borrower(s), including:

• Update the borrower or co-borrower's profile information (e.g. name, address, etc.).
• Add or remove a co-borrower.

The primary borrower on an application can't be changed. To change the borrower, start a new application.

How To Update Borrower Data On Applications

To update the borrower's profile information:

• Open up an application.
• Click on the "Edit Application Form" button in the top grey box. A view will open from the left side.
• Navigate to the tab titled "Borrower Profile".
• Click on the "Edit Profile" button.
• Make your updates and click the "Save Changes" button.

Modifying the borrower profile data on an application also automatically updates their actual borrower profile.

How To Add A Co-Borrower To An Application

To add a co-borrower to an Application:

• Open up the application.
• Click on the "Edit Application Form" button in the top grey box. A view will open from the left side.
• In the tabs section, click "+ Co-Borrower".
• Provide the required information and click the "Add Co-Borrower" button.

When a co-borrower is added to an application, their borrower profile information is copied onto the application. This helps to ensure data integrity for approved and rejected applications because borrower profiles may change over time.

Option to add Co-Borrower(s) is available only when this setting is enabled in the loan product setup.

How To Remove A Co-Borrower From An Application

To remove a co-borrower from an application:

• Open up the application.
• Click on the "Edit Application Form" button in the top grey box. A view will open from the left side.
• Navigate to the co-borrower's tab.
• Click the "Remove or Change Co-Borrower" button.

When a co-borrower is removed from an application, their profile information is removed as well. However, other information related to the co-borrower (such as documents, tasks, etc.) will not be automatically removed and must be manually edited.

Co-Borrower(s) can be removed only when the setting "Co-Borrower is Optional" is enabled in the loan product setup.
