FAQ: Borrower and Intermediary Portal
Can borrowers upload documents through the borrower portal?
Yes. Borrowers can upload documents through tasks assigned to them.
If a workflow status requires certain documents to be provided, a task can be created requesting those uploads. The borrower will then be able to upload the required files through the portal when completing the task.
Can I customize the pages of the borrower portal?
Yes. If you are using the DigiFi standard borrower portal, each page of the portal can be customized.
Where: Digital Portals Setup → Portal Pages Setup → Portal → Page → + Add Element
You can add and configure different elements on the page, such as instructions, fields, or progress indicators.
Can borrowers track their application progress in the borrower portal?
Yes. Borrowers can see where they are in the application process if progress indicators are configured on the portal pages.
You can include elements such as a progress bar or other visual markers to help borrowers understand which step of the application they are currently on.
Where: Digital Portals Setup → Portal Pages Setup → Portal → Page → + Add Element
From there, you can add elements that help guide borrowers through the application flow and show their progress.
Can I create multiple standard borrower portals?
No. Only one standard borrower portal can be launched per account.
The portal supports both person and company borrower profile types.
Can a borrower with a 'person' profile apply for a loan product that supports only 'company' borrowers?
No. If a borrower applies using a person profile type, they will not be able to apply for loan products that support only the company borrower type.
Why does a borrower see the message 'You are not eligible to apply at this time'?
By default, the portal restricts borrowers from submitting another application for 30 days after applying.
To allow borrowers to apply again immediately, update the setting below.
Where: Digital Portals Setup → Production/Testing Portal → Settings → Edit General Settings
Set the value of Allow Borrowers To Re-Apply After to 0.
This disables the borrower lock period and allows borrowers to apply again without waiting.
How do I unlock a borrower?
To unlock a borrower, navigate to:
Lending System → Borrowers → Open Borrower → 3 dots → Unlock Borrower
When locking a borrower, you can optionally provide a reason and set an expiration date for the restriction.
